Provision of nutrition services and supporting wheat-value-chain to the most vulnerable people in NW Syria

Starting December 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024
700 vulnerable farmers from local communities or IDP including families headed by women and/or disabled, will receive and plant high-quality known genotype (Sham 6) with sterilized seeds; during 2023/2024 season and will be selected to receive an agricultural basket. During this season the technical engineers’ team will conduct capacity-building training, focus on Smart Climate Agriculture (SCA) during a 5-month period, and give advice on improved production in cereal production. Also, they will receive harvest vouchers. The agricultural baskets and the cash vouchers will be distributed in Idleb Governorate, Idleb district, at two sub-districts: Ma’aret Tmasreen and Bennsh. Those farmers will be supported with their income, which will be reflected in the local economy’s resilience to have more sustainable assistance supporting the wheat-value-chain..
