The World Health Organization allocates the month of October; each year; to raise awareness of breast cancer. This is an initiative to increase interest in this disease and ways to prevent it, at the international level.According to the statistics of the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer, with more than 2.2 million cases in 2020. Nearly one in 12 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer is the number one cause of cancer death among women, and nearly 685,000 women died from it in 2020.Therefore, Insan Organization, through the mobile clinics project, launched a campaign to educate women about the risks of breast cancer. Medical specialists in addition to community health workers participated in this campaign.The number of sessions that were held was about 156 group and individual sessions, and the number of beneficiaries reached 468. Awareness brochures were distributed in addition to urging women to conduct an early breast examination to avoid reaching advanced stages of the disease, and prevent it from being cured.
